A pilgrimage to the Holy Land

The word “place” often means much more than a point on a map or a simple set of geographical coordinates. A “place” can be full of meaning and symbolic importance that set it apart from other locations. This has been the case with the Holy Land ever since the beginning of the Christian era, and it is in this sense that the present volume considers the “place” where God has revealed himself to man over the centuries. This book contains a series of meditations that take you from Bethlehem to Emmaus, walking the reader through the key moments of the life of Jesus Christ by remembrance and prayer in the places where, tradition tells us, he lived and worked. This book is an opportunity to rediscover the beating heart of our world, and resist the centrifugal forces of distraction and comfort that keep man away from his true center.

Gonzalo Monzón Camps was born in Barcelona (Spain). He is a Catholic priest and member of the Congregation of the Legionaries of Christ. He has earned master’s degrees in philosophy, dogmatic theology, and religious sciences at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum. He has earned various other graduate degrees in educational leadership at the University of Cambridge, Francisco de Vitoria University, Alcalá de Henares University, and Anáhuac University. He is also a member of the Sacerdos Institute and professor of the Diploma for Studies on the Shroud of Turin at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum. He organizes pilgrimages to the Holy Land in collaboration with the Notre Dame of Jerusalem Center and Magdala Center.
