Sobek of Shedet. The crocodile god in the Fayyum in the Dynastic Period

This study presents a comprehensive review of the crocodile god Sobek of Shedet during the dynastic period. Closely linked to the destiny of his own town, Shedet, and region, the fertile Fayyum, the god was one of the most interesting and enduringly popular deities of the Egyptian pantheon.
