For a new birth. The first nine fridays of the month.

This little booklet aims to accompanying the prayers and meditations of those who wish to follow the pious practise of the nine first Fridays of the month. It contains brief reflections that may be used as a starting point for deepening personal insights not only on each of the first Fridays but also throughout the month. Just as it takes nine months for the "new birth" of a child, so too these "nine Fridays" have a rhythm on their own. They can be a powerful time to approach this devotion in a mature manner: not as an insurance for eternal life, but as a practise of listening and conversion, contemplation and consolation, healing and renewal.
